For many, coming to The Beatson for the first time can be a very distressing experience, especially if this on for their first appointment or treatment.
The guidance and comfort put everyone at ease that walk into the doors of The Beatson.
Our Befriending Service provides support and reassurance when patients and families need it the most. This service helps alleviate isolation and loneliness, reduces stress and anxiety and is available to all inpatients in The Beatson.
This personal one to one companionship service also helps to identify patients who could benefit from additional Beatson Cancer Charity Services.
