30 years in Retail and Commercial Banking based in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London where he gained his Chartered Banking qualification. He is proud to have supported SMEs through to large corporates; start-up, grow and expand commercial activities. 3 years in the Third Sector as Major Donors Manager at a Scottish Premiership football club where he significantly increased income from regular giving schemes and supported numerous income generating initiatives to make a positive difference to local communities. He is currently Head of Corporate Relationships at the University of Strathclyde Business School where he identifies executive education programmes for businesses to become more profitable, efficient and attract, develop and retain their people.

Sean makes a difference and creates value by establishing strong relationships and adopting a customer centric approach. For 5 years he volunteered as treasurer and remains an ambassador of Causeway: Ireland Scotland Business Exchange, a not-for-profit business membership organisation that connects professionals from Ireland and Scotland to support and encourage business growth and collaboration. He is an active mentor with MCR Pathways, a school-based mentoring programme that supports pupils to find, grow and use their talents.

Sean’s wish to support the Beatson Charity comes from losing his best friend to cancer and the firsthand knowledge gained from his sister who is a professor of palliative care, on the importance donations and fundraising make to research, patient care and family support.

He enjoys travelling with his wife and family. He also enjoys various sports including golf, football, rugby and padel.
