Janet is the GI team lead at The Beatson - this is a large team of 20 consultants, five specialist nurses and several staff grades. Her main interest is in ensuring as many patients as possible can be offered a clinical trial and she runs a number of colorectal and pancreatic cancer trials, including being Chief Investigator on the PRIMUS 001 trial which is focused on patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer and part of the Precision-Panc initiative.
Janet chairs the NCRI Colorectal research group for adjuvant and advanced disease, is Clincal Lead for the West of Scotland Colorectal Managed Clinical Network and advises a number of charities including Bowel Cancer UK and Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Janet has published widely and is also interested in education and training. She has been a passionate supporter of Beatson Cancer Charity since it first began and has chaired the funding committee for a number of years.
