Beatson Cancer Charity's Welcome Desk, Wellbeing Centre, Cafe and Hub are located within the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre.
Beatson Cancer Charity offices are located in the Diabetes Day Centre just up the hill (less than 200m) from the main entrance to The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre on the Gartnavel Hospital Campus.
The best way to travel to The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre is by train. Hyndland Train Station is located at the rear of the Gartnavel Campus. There are very frequent trains from Queen Street and Glasgow Central low levels and the station is fully accessible with lifts if required. There are also many regular bus services which stop close to the Gartnavel Hospital campus including the 6, 6A and 6B which all stop on Great Western Road (it is best to alight at The Pond Hotel) and the 84, 118 and 141 which stop at the main entrance of Gartnavel Hospital. Visitor car parking is free for a four-hour maximum stay. Car parking availability is extremely limited on the campus and we advise that if travelling by car, you leave extra time to locate a space.
Parking is available on residential streets in the surrounding area. The best option however is at the Leonardo Inn which charges a small fee for using its parking facilities (£2 hourly, £7 for a full day, or £5 a night for guests only).
Again, this can be very busy so availability of spaces is not guaranteed. Disabled parking is available throughout the site and at Beatson Cancer Charity Offices.
There are also drop off points located at the main entrance to The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and the main entrance to the Tom Wheldon building.
Beatson Cancer Charity wellbeing staff and volunteers man the Welcome Desk in the main entrance to The Beatson who both signpost and accompany patients throughout the cancer centre helping to relieve some of their anxiety. The desk is open in the following times. Monday-Friday: 8am-6pm
The Beatson Café is a warm and welcoming space for patients and families which serves drinks and snacks during the day Monday to Friday, from 9 am until 4 pm. The café can be found at the Tom Wheldon entrance of The Beatson.
