Online fundraising
There are many ways to raise funds online, with a varying amount of effort required for each suggestion. These are things you can carry on doing into life post-lockdown too.
Direct Donation
If you are able to do so, the simplest way to support Beatson Cancer Charity online is by donating directly to us at www.beatsoncancercharity.org/donate as a one-off or regular donation.
Give as you shop!
We appreciate that especially in these times many of us do not have as much spare change to give. So how about being able to give when you shop online for necessities. You can do this via shopping donation platforms such as Give as You Live.
These platforms are simple to use! You access them before you start shopping, choose Beatson Cancer Charity as your beneficiary, then they will track your purchase and donate a percentage of that shop to the charity. These platforms cost you nothing to go through and you do not pay for the donation.
Support us whilst making money!
Having a spring clean? This could be the perfect time for you to finally sort through the clothes you never wear, items around the house you never use or unwanted gifts. By using sites such as Ebay and Vinted to sell items, you can choose to give a percentage of your earnings to Beatson Cancer Charity.
Online Fundraising Platforms
There are also many social media platforms you can raise funds on. Facebook and Instagram now have features that allow you to select a charity to fundraise for and will let your friends/family know who you are fundraising for and why; such as setting up and asking people to donate via Facebook Fundraising on your birthday instead of sending a card. We also recommend you utilise online fundraising tools such as JustGiving, or donate money directly to BCC through our website. For the more technologically minded, there’s also Twitch!
