Calum is a Health Psychologist working with the ‘Living with Uncertainty’ and ‘Fear of Cancer Recurrence’ Group Support Programmes team. He takes great fulfilment in his work supporting people with the psychological challenges that cancer brings.
He undertook his training in NHS Lothian and continues to work for the NHS alongside his role in Beatson Cancer Chairty where he helps people with adjustment to living with chronic health conditions and improving their psychological wellbeing.
Prior to this, Calum completed a PhD in Health Psychology at the University of St Andrews where he also worked as a lecturer and researcher studying healthcare communication and fear of cancer recurrence. He remained involved in creating and delivering communication skills training for healthcare professionals.
Outside of work, Calum enjoys keeping active and spending quality time with and family and friends.
