Beatson Cancer Charity funds 14 specialised beds for inpatient wards

We are so grateful to all our supporters and we feel it’s so important to give back which is why we love being able to tell you what your hard earned sponsorship and donations have provided at the Beatson.

Thanks to your generosity we recently provided £20,000 to purchase 14 high specification electric frame beds for use within the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre inpatient wards. These beds will add to the infrastructure of high quality beds across the Beatson, many of which have been funded over the years by Beatson Cancer Charity.

Improving the experience of patients being treated in the Beatson is at the forefront of everything we do. By contributing to the purchase of the most up to date equipment we can help support the Beatson nurses to continue to provide the highest quality of care to their patients.

Staff Nurse Lorna Bracken, kindly passed on her feedback of the beds which are now in use across the Beatson. She said: “Just to let you know our new beds are great and the patients love having them too!”

We hope these beds will continue to bring comfort to the many patients who use them.
