Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre patients are being treated to a fantastic day out today at the SSE Hydro to see the much-adored Jack and Victor perform at Still Game: Live thanks to Beatson Cancer Charity’s corporate partner, the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC).
The premier national venue for public events, concerts and conferences in Scotland kindly donated the exclusive hospitality tickets to patients in need of some entertainment and a break from gruelling treatments at the Beatson.
The group of patients will enjoy the 2.5 hour show and will also have access to a special pre-show lounge and an event host who will take orders and serve drinks in their exclusive suite.
Charlene Elliott, Head of Fundraising at Beatson Cancer Charity said: “This is a tremendously generous gift from SECC and the SSE Hydro which we are very grateful for. Patients at the Beatson go through extremely difficult treatments with often long and frequent visits, therefore at the charity we always try to do what we can to make their visits as comfortable as possible.
"With this day out courtesy of our corporate partner the SECC we are able to offer some of the patients a break from what they are going through and let them enjoy some entertainment while at the same time meet other cancer patients and their families. We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who has made this fantastic gift possible.
”Kirsten McAlonan, Corporate Communications Manager at SECC said: “"We were delighted to donate the use of our suite to the charity and to give this opportunity for patients and fellow guests to enjoy the experience of watching the show."
