Cabinet Secretary visits Beatson Cancer Charity

Last week we were privileged to have the Cabinet Secretary for Health, Wellbeing & Sport, Shona Robison, visit The Beatson. We truly appreciated her time to find out the benefits and impact of the highly successful partnership between Beatson Cancer Charity, the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. 

We discussed an showed Shona our expanding patient and family support activity, the funding that we provide towards specialist staff resources, innovative service developments, enhanced medical equipment, novel research projects and staff development.  

We hope this visit will have demonstrated the incredible work of the Beatson and encourage and inspire Shona and the Scottish Government to continue supporting the work of Beatson Cancer Charity.
