Beatson Cancer Charity has raised over £66,000 from an evening celebrating the life and works of Robert Burns and the ladies who inspired him.
Beatson Cancer Charity held their second ever Bard and his Belles Burns Supper on Friday 19 December at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow, supported by Slater Menswear.
Over 500 guests joined Scottish comedians Karen Dunbar and Ewen Cameron, TV and radio presenter Cat Harvey and sports broadcaster and host for the evening Alison Walker, to be educated on the poetry of Robert Burns with a few laughs along the way.
Guests also enjoyed a drinks reception, delicious Scottish-themed three course meal and fantastic live music from Well Plaid Ceilidh Band. There were also opportunities on the night to win some incredible prizes and raise vital funds for a good cause at the same time.
All the money raised from the supper will help Beatson Cancer Charity further invest in services, staff, research and education to provide a better future for those affected by the disease. The charity exists to make the journey easier by transforming the way cancer is cared for and funded.
