Hair loss during cancer treatment is common.  Many cancer patients prefer to wear scarfs and hats.  Here Rhona Weir, lead hairdresser, gives a step-by-step guide to headscarf tying.

Step 1 - Use a large square scarf.

Step 2 - Place on a flat surface and fold in half into a triangle

Step 3 - Then fold, from the longest length of the scarf, 3 or 4 times

Step 4 - Place the folded length of the scarf to the front of your head leaving the 3 loose ends at the back

Step 5 - Pull tight on the two outer loose ends leaving the middle bit to hang down.

Step 6 - Pull tight and tie into a double knot.

Step 7 - Start to twist the two longer ends around the top of the scarf and tuck into the fold you made at the front.
