We want to say a massive thank you to all involved with this years Virtual Kiltwalk.
Our very own Beatson Warriors, led by our volunteer co-ordinator Paul Sheerin covered 556.3 miles in total! Over £104,374.52 has been raised and counting, well done to you all!
A special shout out to the McHugh family and friends who have completed the challenge across the world, from Dubai, Ireland to South Queensferry.
The team were walking in memory of their daughter Eilidh McHugh and continue to support and work with us.
Elaine Mchugh, Eilidh’s mum posted a touching message;
“Kiltwalk Kindness 2021.
Thank You to All of You. 95 walkers and a massive number of donators. A Labour of Love over 3 days.
You gave us The Gift of Your Time. You have raised a Phenomenal Amount across Dubai , Dublin , England , Scotland. Over £15k with the Kiltwalk Top Up and rising. Contributing to our next goal , development of a Grief Counselling Project in partnership with Beatson Cancer Charity.
Thank you for continuing to walk by our side , surround us with your love and raise money to develop services for those affected by cancer.
We hope you are as proud of yourselves as we are of you.
The McHughs
Always a 4.”
Another shout out to the fantastic Team Gorls!
Taking part in the Kiltwalk to support Beatson Cancer Charity meant a great deal to Hannah and her group “Team Gorls” who have raised over £8000 over the weekend. In 2016 Hannah’s amazing mum was diagnosed with breast cancer again early last year “… the work of the Beatson has supported us every step of the way. This walk will be an emotional one for us all but it’s for an amazing cause that we are all very thankful for!”
Shoutout to another amazing effort by Calum Thomson
Calum ran this year’s Kiltwalk and raised over £3,000 for Beatson Cancer Charity, as they supported his dad last year, during his treatment for throat cancer.
“Fortunately, it was a successful one and it couldn’t have been done without the help of the Beatson…It also falls on the day of my birthday so what better way to celebrate than running 26 mile in a kilt! “
Each and every one of your support means so much to us and to you all we say "We're with you".
