The reopening of the centre will mean the world to people receiving cancer treatment. When they shut the door, they can leave the stress and anxiety of cancer treatment behind.
The Wellbeing Centre is welcoming and calming and people who are receiving treatment can talk to staff, volunteers, or other patients and it can help them feel less alone.
Thanks to the generous support over the past few years, we have been able to adapt services while the Wellbeing Centre within The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre was temporarily closed due to Covid-19 restrictions.
The digital services that we have been able to offer have been invaluable in helping reduce stress and anxiety for those who are facing a cancer diagnosis during Covid-19 restrictions. The Wellbeing Team are looking forward to being able to combine both online services with face-to-face support.
The wellbeing support is such a big part in someone’s cancer treatment journey. With your help, Beatson Cancer Charity can make them feel better, stronger and more relaxed.
By donating just £25 you could provide an hour of relaxing massage, helping Beatson patients cope with stress and anxiety during cancer treatment. £75 could fund 3 care packages filled with pyjamas, toiletries and more to help Beatson patients feel a little more at home.
