Beatson Cancer Charity has launched its Strategic Plan for 2023-26, which sets the vision for the organisation over the next three years.
Developing a comprehensive strategy is crucial to help address the multifaceted challenges associated with cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and support. Through its new strategy, Beatson Cancer Charity is playing its part.
This is an ambitious plan that focuses on strengthening the position of the charity to support people through each of these stages. The plan has been influenced by learning from the experience of patients and their families and the wider stakeholder groups involved.
As leaders in supporting cancer care, Beatson Cancer Charity will prioritise the ambitions of providing effective cancer services and supporting cutting-edge research and education, whilst ensuring the delivery of the best cancer care for the people of west Scotland.
Cancer care remains very prevalent in Scotland’s communities and over the next three years Beatson Cancer Charity’s new vision will create a pivotal role in coordinating efforts of those involved in cancer care and influence the future, for people.
Three main themes will steer the strategy: “Clinical Excellence”, “Practical Care and Support” and “Research and Innovation.”
The new strategy illustrates how Beatson Cancer Charity demonstrates impact at every stage in the cancer pathway and how we will continue to contribute positively to cancer care.
Martin Cawley, Chief Executive of Beatson Cancer Charity said: “I am delighted to launch our Strategic Plan 2023-26. This sets out our commitment over the next few years. If we can make even a small contribution to help improve cancer care in Scotland then we will be pleased!
