Beatson Cancer Charity’s Sporting Dinner raised a record-breaking total of £184,000 for cancer patients living in the west of Scotland and beyond.
The incredible total comes as the charity continues with its Big 10 campaign to mark its 10th birthday, which was celebrated on 27th February.
Over 650 guests attended the event at The Hilton Hotel in Glasgow on Thursday 9th May, which was sponsored by Allied Vehicles. The special guest for the evening was former football player and manager, Roy Keane, who took part in a Q&A session with host and sports broadcaster, Peter Martin.
Other key sporting figures in attendance included Gordon Smith, Frank McAvennie and Eilidh Doyle.

Roy Keane also signed a canvas of himself which was auctioned off after his Q&A and the auction prize winner had their picture taken with him.
The total raised and announced at the event was £171,808, but following some generous donations after the event, the total has since risen to £184,000.
A live auction took place on the night which gave guests the opportunity to pay £4,000 for one of the single side rooms in the wards of The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre to be refurbished, adding extra warmth and comfort for patients, families and carers during times of extreme angst and worry. 21 guests and collective groups kindly purchased these refurbishments and work will begin this year to redesign the rooms.

The former footballer said: "I was delighted to attend Beatson Cancer Charity's sporting dinner and take part in a Q&A session with Peter Martin.
“I spoke with Peter about my career as a player, manager and pundit. I hope guests enjoyed listening as much as I enjoyed sharing my experiences and meeting people on the night.
“The amount raised for the charity was fantastic and I was pleased to have played a part in an event for such an important cause."
Susan Brodie, events manager at Beatson Cancer Charity, said: “We were delighted to host our annual Sporting Dinner at The Hilton Hotel in Glasgow on Thursday night.
“We were thrilled to welcome Roy Keane to our event for the first time and our guests loved hearing the stories he told during his Q&A session.
“The event raised a groundbreaking £184,000 which will go so far in helping us to develop and create new services to support patients and their families across Scotland.
“Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success.”
